2009 First RAT Ride: Breakfast at Bertha’s

Sunday 25th January 2009 is dated as the first RATCT run for 2009.

A decision being made to do a coastal run seemed to work well.

As normal 08.30 a procession of Triumph (and others) left the shop.

1 Thruxton , 4 Tigers , 3 ST 1050’s , 2 Rockets , 2 Speed Triples and 4 other brands headed out on the Cape coast via Sea Point , Camps bay to Houtbaai.

Chappies being closed a “windy” route was taken and not one rider was lost through all the twists and turns.

Onto Simons town where friendly staff had tables ready.

OJ & Coffee were a bit slow but once breakfast was ordered service sped up.

There was quite a stir when the least expected ordered and received a “health breakfast”.

After breakfast the run continued along the coast line towards Cape Point , heading inland towards Misty Cliffs , then Noordhoek , over the pass and towards Cape Town.

Branching off the “diehards” went to Forries for a thirst quencher.

Thanks to all that joined and made the day so much fun.
